Description
Spirito, or Spiritus, Sorsana (1720–1740) was a luthier of the Piedmontese school in the 18th century. He is thought to have studied with luthier Gioffredo Cappa, however, Sorsana’s personal style is too far of a departure to support this idea. Instead, historical records show that the Sorsana family was present in Turin, which may explain why his stylistic features resemble the work of Giovanni Francesco Celoniato.
