This beautiful single-maker violin was made in our workshop by our master luthier. It has a two-piece bookmatched maple back displaying a beautiful fine width lateral flaming with medium deep optics. The ribs and scroll match. The top is fine-, straight-grained spruce. The varnish is dark walnut over a honey base, giving the instrument a medium dark color overall. Antiquing is limited to some lightening of the color to highlight the instrument’s contours and simulate mild use. The violin is built on the maker’s own design that shows the influence of Guarneri in the sound holes and corners. The workmanship is excellent, and the edgework is a pleasure to run your fingers over. Dark ebony pegs, chinrest, and tailpiece highlight this beautiful looking and sounding instrument.
