Description
Giuseppe Fiorini (1861-1934) is one of the most luthiers important in Italian history. Fiorini learned the foundations of violin making from his father, but his own passion and practical intelligence led him to pursue ancient techniques of the classic Cremonese period. In 1920, he purchased and donated the precious collection of drawings, molds and tools of Stradivari to the city of Cremona. He was honoured with a knighthood (Cavaliere) in 1927.
